Audi has recently launched a new ad campaign featuring the "Green Police," the humorous, made up law enforcement agency, that takes the responsibility of prosecuting the non-environmental aware offenders. The campaign has already featured a series of funny ad videos on Youtube at www.youtube.com/greenpolice. These videos offer various guidelines that are supposed to help the environment in a number of ways. For instance, one of the videos claims that billions of pounds of napkins could be saved, instead of ending up in landfills, if we were all environment aware citizens, that avoid the "napkin abuse." One of the other public service announcements that this Audi ad campaign features urges the people to help save thousands of pounds of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere, simply by unplugging electronics form power strips, when we are not using them. This ad campaign is created primarily to market the new Audi A3 TDI clean diesel model. This model has been proclaimed the wined of the Green Cars Journal award, the 2010 Green Car of the Year. The Green Car Journal has its focus on the intersection between automotive industry, environment, and the energy, since 1992. Also, this ad campaign was designed to be used and aired primarily during the Superbowl of 2010. As this elite sporting competition attracts the attention of millions of viewers worldwide, Audi will be trying to profit from the environmental worries that are in the focus of public attention for some time now. Their new clean diesel Audi A3 TDI is marketed and designed for just that reason. This new ad campaign promises to be original and memorable, which, to be frank, is only to be expected from an automotive industry giant like  Audi, and an ad campaign which is supposed to be spotlighted at a sporting event as important as Superbowl.
